Governor Tours Emis, Meets With Autonomous Vehicle Industry Leaders And Announces Collaboration With The Israel-America Chamber Of Commerce

TEL AVIV, Israel – In Tel Aviv today, Governor Phil Murphy and the delegation toured the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS), participated in a roundtable with businesses in the autonomous vehicle industry following a drone demonstration, and announced a new partnership with the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce.

Governor Murphy and the delegation today toured the Eastern Mediterranean International School (EMIS), which was founded by Oded Rose, who is also the CEO of the Isreal American Chamber of Commerce. EMIS is a unique international boarding high school with the mission of making education a force for peace and sustainability in the Middle East. Located in Hakfar Hayarok, a youth village and educational campus in central Israel, EMIS fosters intercultural understanding and promotes personal and social leadership. Through a shared educational and living experience, EMIS educates towards values of respect, diversity and global citizenship. Students - Israeli, Arab and international - may choose between two prestigious international programs – either the intensive two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program or the one-year Cambridge IGCSE .

Governor Murphy Participates in Autonomous Vehicle Roundtable

Governor Murphy and the delegation today visited Airobotics, an industrial drone company, where they were provided a demonstration of the company’s drone technology.  Following the demonstration, the Governor participated in a roundtable focused on the autonomous vehicle industry in Israel, including introductions by participating companies and summaries of their various technologies.

Governor Murphy Announces Plan to Advance Corporate Social Responsibility in New Jersey and Israel   

Governor Phil Murphy announced a new partnership today between Choose New Jersey and the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce to promote corporate social responsibility. The goal of the partnership, formalized with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), is to have both organizations identify companies in New Jersey and Israel to help promote best practices in corporate social responsibility to benefit stakeholders, economics, and communities on both sides.

GOVERNOR ADDRESSES SANHEDRIN FORUM

Introduced by Consul General of Israel in New York, Ambassador Dani Dayan, the Governor addressed the Sanhendrin Forum at an informal reception in Tel Aviv this evening. The Sanhedrin Forum is a members only, off-the-record forum bringing top leaders from the government, law, and business sectors to network with young professionals. The Forum was founded by Mati Gill, Head of Government Affairs, Corporate & Growth Markets, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, who joined the Governor and the delegation earlier this week when they visited Teva.
